Take your practice to a new level with ujjayi breath!
I remember learning ujjayi breath in teacher training; it was awkward and embarrassing. I wanted to be passed by when it was my turn to breathe into the mic so everyone could hear. Not option for training. Eek!!!! I had to set my ego aside and get to it. Gratefully I had a great teacher and supportive peers to help me because once I got it my practice changed. I was able to move into postures and stay in them with breath. My practice of ujjayi breath has continued to grow over the years and I suspect it will continue to do so. Geek alert...It is one of my favorite sounds in the yoga room. It is inspiring and energizing to practice with other students using ujjayi breathing. I made this video at Sun Rock Yoga in St George, Utah to see if it might help anyone else. Do you use this breath? What are your thoughts on it?
